Is Mosspip free?
Yes, completely free for parents and class businesses. We earn a small 5% service fee on contributions, added on top of the gift.
What if my favorite class isn't listed?
You can add ANY class from anywhere in the country — even if the business isn't on Mosspip. Just enter the website and price (takes 30 seconds). Your registry works immediately. The business doesn't need to do anything; we send them a friendly email letting them know.
Can I change my goal amount later?
Yes — from your registry dashboard you can update any class's goal at any time. Want to fund 2 months instead of 1? Just bump the goal and family can keep contributing toward the new amount.
Can multiple people contribute to the same class?
Absolutely — that's the whole point. Grandma can give $50, your sister $25, your friend $100, and it all pools toward the same class until you hit your goal. The progress bar shows how much has been gifted so far.
How do funds reach me?
When you sign up, you connect a bank account through Stripe Connect. Contributions transfer directly to your bank within 2 business days.
How do I actually book the class once the money is in my bank?
You book the class directly on the business's own website (or in person, or however they take payments) — using your own bank or credit card. Mosspip just collects contributions from your family and transfers them to your bank account. We don't book the class for you; you decide which class, when, and how to register your child. Think of it like a cash gift from grandma — only it's pooled from your whole family and earmarked for classes.
Do gifters need to make an account?
No. They click your registry link, pick a class, enter their card and a note, and that's it.
